Things to be seen at Alway : Alway is a developed modern industrial town of Keral. Once this town by the side of the river Parier was famous as a business centre. Here Shivaratri festival ovserved very gorgeously. At that time devoties from far and near Villages gather there. The festival continues whole night.
Coming to conquer the Tribankur Tipu Sultan had to return being disappointed due to excessive flood. The ceneries here are very charming.

At the time of departure he distributed his own kingdom to his ministers and commanders. Then he also gifted to Jomorin Tamuri of Kolikot an area of land in all sides of the temple of Talli up to a cock’s crowing distance from the temple. At the end of the midival age a special quality of printed cloth made of India exported in the Europin Countries for sale by sailing ship. At that time the name of the port was kalikot. Then it was famous as a tourist centre and a industrial centre as well. Obtaining the landed property from the King of Kalikot the English constructed here their business centre.
