Sankarkirti Smarak : It is situated at a small distance of Ramkrishna Additya Ashram. The memorial building is 8 storied. The foot wear room here is charming with artistc work. Here preserved Silver foot wear of Adi Shankaracharya. On the wall there expressed the life history of Sankaracharya beautifully by painting. in the month April - May here overved birth day celebration of Sankar gorgeously. The festival become gorgeous due to arrival of devotees from far an near. During this time here observed Parumal festival also gorgeously.

It is heard that, in the middle of 9 th century attaming the age of superannuation Chermal Perumal the King of Malabar moved towards Makke leaving his kingdom. At the time of departure he distributed his own kingdom to his ministers and commanders. Then he also gifted to Jomorin Tamuri of Kolikot an area of land in all sides of the temple of Talli up to a cock’s crowing distance from the temple. At the end of the midival age a special quality of printed cloth made of India exported in the Europin Countries for sale by sailing ship. At that time the name of the port was kalikot. Then it was famous as a tourist centre and a industrial centre as well. Obtaining the landed property from the King of Kalikot the English constructed here their business centre.
