Conducted Tour :
To show the visiting places of Kochin and its neighbouring places Keral Tourism Development Corporation conduct a few conducted tour. Among them are remarkable.
a.                           Every Saturday buses are moving to Show the Thekkadi and Parier Sanctuary, Iddiki Dam and the visiting places near by. The stem boat moving every Saturday on 7.00 morning and return back on Sunday at 10 pm. Fare Rs 450.00.
b.                          Kumarkole tour, By this tour shows The Kumarkole lake and Aviary time takes 7 hours. Stemers departing on 7.00 morning and return back on 2.00 noon. Fare Rs 380.00.

c.                           Sightseeing tour. This tour shows the Jew Sinagog. Dutch palace Bolughatti, Gundu island, Chinese facing net,Church etc. Steamer moving 2 times. The 1st one departing on 9.00 morningand return on 12.00 noon. The 2nd steamer departing on 2.00 noon and return on 5.00 afternoon. Fare Rs 150.

It is heard that, in the middle of 9 th century attaming the age of superannuation Chermal Perumal the King of Malabar moved towards Makke leaving his kingdom. At the time of departure he distributed his own kingdom to his ministers and commanders. Then he also gifted to Jomorin Tamuri of Kolikot an area of land in all sides of the temple of Talli up to a cock’s crowing distance from the temple. At the end of the midival age a special quality of printed cloth made of India exported in the Europin Countries for sale by sailing ship. At that time the name of the port was kalikot. Then it was famous as a tourist centre and a industrial centre as well. Obtaining the landed property from the King of Kalikot the English constructed here their business centre.
