Velly Legun : The river velly meeting here with the Arabian sea. There is boating arrangement. Those, who will come here by the buses of K. T. D. C. conducted tour have no need to tickets. For others there are motor boat one journey (2.5km + 2.5 km) per head Rs 15.00. Rs 200.00 for 10 members. Speed boat for 4 members Rs 150.00. For two members Rs 40.00 for 30 minutes, for 4 members Rs 50.00. Age below 5 years need no ticket.
Padmabathirtha : It is mainly a large pond and is situated by the side of the temple. Before and after the full moon it reflected image of the Padmavhaswami temple on its transparent water looks very charming.

It is heard that, in the middle of 9 th century attaming the age of superannuation Chermal Perumal the King of Malabar moved towards Makke leaving his kingdom. At the time of departure he distributed his own kingdom to his ministers and commanders. Then he also gifted to Jomorin Tamuri of Kolikot an area of land in all sides of the temple of Talli up to a cock’s crowing distance from the temple. At the end of the midival age a special quality of printed cloth made of India exported in the Europin Countries for sale by sailing ship. At that time the name of the port was kalikot. Then it was famous as a tourist centre and a industrial centre as well. Obtaining the landed property from the King of Kalikot the English constructed here their business centre.
