Srikrishna Temple

Srikrishna Temple : The temple is to be found at the village Amblapasa, at a distance of 13km away from Bhembanad Lake. Srikrishna Temple is considered as one of the among the 7th famous temple of Tribankur. The name of the builder and the time of the construction is not known. Local inhabitants believe that God itself built it within a night. At the end of march a festival observe there for ten days and distribute ‘Paramanna’ among the devotees as the remaining of the God.

At the time of departure he distributed his own kingdom to his ministers and commanders. Then he also gifted to Jomorin Tamuri of Kolikot an area of land in all sides of the temple of Talli up to a cock’s crowing distance from the temple. At the end of the midival age a special quality of printed cloth made of India exported in the Europin Countries for sale by sailing ship. At that time the name of the port was kalikot. Then it was famous as a tourist centre and a industrial centre as well. Obtaining the landed property from the King of Kalikot the English constructed here their business centre.
