Aruvikkara : The town is situated at a distance of 15km from the town Tirubantapuram. At a short distance the bus service of the town is available. The place is famous for Bhagabati temple. The garden attached the temple is undoubtedly attractive to the tourist. The water works system here is also attractive. The natural sight is also charming. Except the Inspection Banglo there is no space for shelter. As there is no visiting place two hours distance from Tirubantapura, There is no need of night staying.

At the end of the midival age a special quality of printed cloth made of India exported in the Europin Countries for sale by sailing ship. At that time the name of the port was kalikot. Then it was famous as a tourist centre and a industrial centre as well. Obtaining the landed property from the King of Kalikot the English constructed here their business centre.
