Kottyam is situated on the North east side of the town Aleppi and on the opposite of Vembanadu lake. It is a place of marvelous natural beauty. By road it is about 55km from Aleppi town. Those who will travel by steam boat they have to travel 33km. From Kochi it is 75 and from the town Kuilam it is 80km. Those who will go from Tirubantapuram by train they will have to travel 154km.
