How to travel Kochin : On the one hand Kochin is a famous port town and remarkable tourist centre on the other. It is not less important in respect of internal and external business also. So there developed the air, train and bus link from different parts of the country with Kochin.

About Kochin

Long days ago, possibly near about 1500AD. Partugal businessman Vasko-da-Gama came this port by sailing ship. With the permission of thethen government they started business here. They extended their business relation with the neighbouring states and countries soon. Reigning here about 150 years in the year 1663AD a few another foreign sailing ships reached here. Next came the Dutch businessmen. They were large in number and ferocious type and were powerful in weapons. about Kochin

In consideration of business of the western India Kochin is next to Mumbai. Its area is about 84sq.km. Main language is Malayam. Other used languages are the Tamil the English, the Hindi and the Urdue. Average temperature is 30.5degree C in summer and 20 degree C in winter. Parier is largest river of Keral. Beside the dam of this river in the deep forest of Thekkadir sanctuary roaming by stem boat or speed boat is more charming than the traveling by jeep and the net covered conveyance. It is not at all wonder to face the tiger or leopard and the swinging movement of elephant. How to travel Parier : There is no direct railway connection to come to Parier. From any part of India going up to Tirubantapuram. Vembanad Lake, Sister Alphan’s Memorial

There held snake boat rac (Competition). In the competition many poisonous and large in snake get loose. The competititors have to take part in the competition taking those snakes on the boat. The snake repetedly rushed towards the competitors raising it’s expanded hood. The competitors have to control the snake and at the same time they have to steer the boat for gaining the prizes...

Srikrishna Temple

Srikrishna Temple : The temple is to be found at the village Amblapasa, at a distance of 13km away from Bhembanad Lake. Srikrishna Temple is considered as one of the among the 7 th famous temple of Tribankur. The name of the builder and the time of the construction is not known. Local inhabitants believe that God itself built it within a night. At the end of march a festival observe there for ten days and distribute ‘Paramanna’ among the devotees as the remaining of the God.

How to return from Ponemuri : There is no need of staying at Ponemuri. Spending there a few hours it is possible to return Tirubantapuram. Nine buses are moving up and down Tirubantapuram (Ponemuri) throughout the day. Those who start from Tirubantapuram towards Ponemuri by bus at 9.25 morning will reach Ponemuri on 11.30. Temple of Sri Janardan Swami

Temple of  Sri Janardan Swami : The temple is surrounded with rows of coconut trees and on the top of the hill an exquisitely beautiful. It was built in the 1252 AD. It’s architectural and sculptural skillfulness is instant of an old one. On the sand stone of the temple the engraved work is praiseworthly undoubtedly. To the local people the four handed lord Krishna lying in the temple considered as alive. The image has conch, discus and lotous in hand.
