Cemetry of 2nd World War of Kohima

Cemetry of 2nd World War of Kohima : It is the memorial of 2nd world war and is situated on the centre of the town Kohima. Those brave soldiers, who dedicated the meselves smilingly for the sake of country have been buried here. Rose-garden turned the environment here charming. Two large crosses has developed the gravity of this place much. Throughout the whole area the names of 1421 brave soldiers who dedicated themselves for the freedom  of the country has been written on separate plank made of bronze.
Kohima Museum :
It is the Museum governed by Kohima state government. From bus stand it take 15 to 20 minutes on foot. Old Naga arties and sign of 2nd world war are carefully preserved here. It remain closed on Sunday and other government holidays. Other days it remain open from 10am to 3pm

It is heard that, in the middle of 9 th century attaming the age of superannuation Chermal Perumal the King of Malabar moved towards Makke leaving his kingdom. At the time of departure he distributed his own kingdom to his ministers and commanders. Then he also gifted to Jomorin Tamuri of Kolikot an area of land in all sides of the temple of Talli up to a cock’s crowing distance from the temple. At the end of the midival age a special quality of printed cloth made of India exported in the Europin Countries for sale by sailing ship. At that time the name of the port was kalikot. Then it was famous as a tourist centre and a industrial centre as well. Obtaining the landed property from the King of Kalikot the English constructed here their business centre.
