About Keral
According to Mythology Parashuram, the descent of lord Bishnu threw
his axe in the sea from the peak of mountain Sahadri to reside his followers.
The sea began to escape and as a result appeared Malabar valley and built the
dwelling houses of the fallowers of Parashuram.
In various stone inscription of Ashoke, the king of decan, there is
utterance of Keral by various Keral putra. In the writings of Meghasthinis, the
visitor of Greece there mentioned the name of Keral several times.
The religion Hinduism spread in Keral from 890 – up to 1100 ad. This
period marked as the best among the eras in the history.
