Tirubantapuram

Tirubantapuram   Recently Tribandam is named as Tirubantapuram. Tribandram is the Capital town of Keral. Some one it is known as Tri-Bandaram. About Keral

According to Mythology Parashuram, the descent of lord Bishnu threw his axe in the sea from the peak of mountain Sahadri to reside his followers. The sea began to escape and as a result appeared Malabar valley and built the dwelling houses of the fallowers of Parashuram. In various stone inscription of Ashoke, the king of decan, there is utterance of Keral by various Keral putra. In the writings of Meghasthinis, the visitor of Greece there mentioned the name of Keral several times. The religion Hinduism spread in Keral from 890 – up to 1100 ad. This period marked as the best among the eras in the history.

About Keral

Keral is the most thick populated state of India. It is the only state of India where women are excess in number than male and Keral is the first state of India where Communist government formed. Among the Indian states here being spent much money in respect of education and the percentage of literacy here is high. The pilgrimage of the Hindu, the Muslim and the Christian and the netural beauty of Keral is much more than other states. That is why much more turists come here than other states. Here the visiting season is from the middle of November to April. Rainy Season (Keral) From the middle of June and up to September. Due to diversity of nature rainfall occur here more or less in winter also. In summer the average temperature is 35.5 degree centrigrde and in winter it is 20 degree C.

Tribandom is the Capital of Keral

Tribandom is the Capital of Keral. Now it is called Tirubantapuram.  Area 38,863 sq.km. In the month of April of the year 1991, it was considered as a state of India. Main Cast : Hndu. Main language : Malayam. Other languages used : Tamil, Hindi, English. In the month of September-October (Medam) they observe their popular new years day. In the month of August-September they preserve Onam and Chingam  (harvesting festival). Tullar, Kothakali, Mohini attyam dance and Karnatak dance are the wealth of Karnatak style.

Keral port,

History says that, in 52 AD sent Tomas came in Keral port. Here the religion of Christ spread. After that, the Jain the Buddhist and the Muslim expanded their own religion and culture here one after another. Next time Adi Sankarcharyya lived here for a long time. History says that, in the year 1498 AD. Bhasko-da-gama, the Partugig trader first stepped here by sailing ship. In the year 1766 ad Hyder Ali captured this region. For a long period he kept his influence here intact. After Hyder Ali, Tipu Sultan ruled here. The English snached  away the state from him. For a long time they kept the state under their control. Then came 1947. India became free. Another 9 years passed away. State re-construction Act passed in the year 1956 ad. According this Act, the Tamil speaking region on the south of Kochin and Tribankur goes under the Madras. Then it was named as Tribankur-Kochin. Recently Keral state has been divided in 12 districts.

Kerala

Kerala Kerala is situated on the South of India and on the bank of Arabian Sea. Sorounded with range of coconut tree and deep forest. Kerala is one of the States under Indian Union. The culture of this state is much old. From the ancient time it had business relation with outer India. In many ancient books have found that, Finician sailing ships used to move up and down to this port for collection of cloves, Cinnamon, nutmeg, Cardamom, black paper, sandal-wood and tusk. It is known not only the Finician business men, but ships of Rome and Greece also moves through this port. About one thousand years B. C. the ship of Soloman the trader used to gathered here. At that time the name of this port was ‘Ofir’. The name of the port Ofir can be found in Bibel. Ofir was on the south of Trimandom.

Man

Man : The Kaniak community people are large in number here. The earring, the tattoed mark on the face and the cop of feather of the Kaniak is attractive. It is a small town 64km away from Kohima. One can travel man by bus from Kohima in the morning and can return in the afternoon.

Janubat

Janubat : It is at a distance of 150 km from Kohima and from Makakchung 70 km. Everyday buses are coming to the town Janubat. The sesa community nagas live here and they are fighting master. Sorounded with small filas and dressed with green town must attract the visitors. The main festival here is Tuluni. Harvesting festival held on July.

Fek

Fek : here live the Chakachhan Community people. It is 134km away from Kohima. Bus is available from Kohima and Makakchung. Aaoling is the main festival here conducted on April. Okha

Okha : Farketing of Asam is the nearest Rly station of Okha, which is 60 km at a distance. Everyday 2/3 buses are coming from kohima and Makakchung. Okha is at a distance of 80km both from Kohima and Makakchung. Okha is sadar town of Lotha district. Though there is no attractive things for the travelers, the hilly livelihood of Lokha and the hilly beauty sorounded with forest may be charmed you. The naga swal, hand made of Lakha is as confortable as beautiful to look at. There is also a huge stone piller which carries the society status of Lokha. According to Lokha it is called as Kangu.

Japfu Peak & Makakchung

Japfu Peak : At a distance of 14km from the town Kohima the peak is on the 3045m high is most attractive to the travelers. From here the Himalayan peak covered with snow and the Kohima town looks like a movie. Makakchung : It is 154km away from Kohima. From Kohima buse are moving towards Makakchung on 6.30am. Zoological garden :Kohima. & Kohima Hillage

Zoological garden :Kohima. Though the town Kohima is small there is a zoological garden to visit. In the hill situated the zoo is attractive not only to the Children but to the elder also. It remain closed on Monday. The other days it remain open for public. In summer from 9am to 5pm and in winter from 9am to 4pm. Kohima Hillage : It is at a distance of 18km from the town Kohima and can travel by Maruti or Jeep. The Nagas think the village is sacred. Here the Naga soldiers faught the last fight against the English soldiers. On the entrance of the village a few tombstone be bound here. These are the tombstone of Major sie. G.H. Demant, H.H.Forbes and Major C.R.Kook who died in fights with the Nagas. On the way to big and small water falls flowing down the hill area most charming also. Cemetry of 2nd World War of Kohima

Cemetry of 2 nd World War of Kohima : It is the memorial of 2 nd world war and is situated on the centre of the town Kohima. Those brave soldiers, who dedicated the meselves smilingly for the sake of country have been buried here. Rose-garden turned the environment here charming. Two large crosses has developed the gravity of this place much. Throughout the whole area the names of 1421 brave soldiers who dedicated themselves for the freedom  of the country has been written on separate plank made of bronze. Things to be seen at Kohima :   History says that the hilly Nagas used fire first. Cultivation is the main earnings of the inhabitants here. Here cultivation is performed by a peculiar system by, cutting steps on the hill which is called ‘Jhum’ or ‘Jum’ cultivation. Except the small scale industrial articles. They themselves prepared their glasses, bowls etc. using bamboo and they prepared these generation after generation. CHATRISHGAR The state Chatrishgar was formed on 1 st November 2000. It was formed taking one third of thethen Madhyapradesh. The 44% forest of Madhyapradesh is the part of Chatrishgar at present. It is situated in the middle part of India. Of the state there is Jharkhand on North-West, on South-West Maharastra, on East Orisha and on South Andhrapradesh. No movement was organized to frame Chatrishgar like the states Jharkhand and Uttaranchal. As the Chief minister of Madhyapradesh was the inhabitant of Chatrishgar, at the time of formation of the state Madhyapradesh in the year 1956, no claim raised for the formation of the state Chatrishgar. On July in the year 1960 Dr. Khubi Chand Bhagel, member of Rajyasabha of Congress claimed to frame the state Chatrishgar of first and from that time, claim raised to form Chatrishghar state. But by the name of Chatrishgar the credit of formation of political organization first goes to Sankar Guhaneogi.
