Kalikot

Kalikot : To some one Kalikot is known as ‘Kagikore’ Kagikore mans ‘Cock-Fort’ in Malayam language. Kagikore is the present name of Kalikot. In the middle ages the Jamorin Kings of Malabar reigned at Kalikot (kagikore) In the year 1498 AD on the sea beach of Kappade at a distance of 22km from Kalikot the Partugige sailor Bhasko-da-Gama bring the sailing ship near the shore.
